2021 Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships at Harvard University

In establishing the Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship program at Harvard University, Annie Reid Knox sought to
honor her late husband and his lifelong commitment to America. According to the wishes of Mrs. Knox, Frank
Knox Memorial Fellows are selected on the basis of outstanding academic excellence, strength of character,
and potential for leadership in their fields.

Knox Fellowships include tuition and health insurance fees plus a stipend of at least $32,000, which is sufficient to cover the living expenses of a single fellow for a ten-month academic year. Recipients who are admitted to a Harvard degree program that requires multiple years of study are guaranteed two years of Knox funding, provided they remain in good academic standing.

Knox Fellowships are open to men and women who:

  • are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada at the time of application and who are normally
    residing in Canada.
  • have completed a first degree or higher degree at a Canadian educational institution which has recognized
    provincial degree-granting powers, or their affiliates (e.g. university).
  • are currently studying for a first or higher degree from a Canadian University or a Knox-eligible institution (in Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom), and will graduate in the academic year 2020-2021, OR;
  • have completed a first or higher degree from a Canadian University or a Knox-eligible institution (in Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom) and graduated no earlier than 2016.
  • Please note that persons who graduated before 2016 will not be eligible to apply.
